If you are looking for a powerful, portable computer to take along with you on business trips and other meetings, the Acer AS5750-6636 15.6-Inch Laptop (Mesh Black) may just be what you’re looking for. The 15.6 inch laptop is cheaper than many of its competitors, while boasting much of the hardware you come to expect. Although it isn’t a prime system for game lovers, most other programs and hardware should have no problem running on the Acer Aspire computer.
Pros:
- The large monitor is exceptional and allows you to watch your favorite movies
- USB 3.0 gives you the latest connection option and increases the data transfer speed
- Windows 7 is the latest Windows based operating system and it comes pre-installed on the Acer laptop computer.
- The inclusion of an SD card is extremely helpful in uploading images and other data to your new computer from a digital camera.
Cons:
- The short battery life. If you travel a great deal, this battery is unacceptable
- The placement of the touch pad. Unwanted movement of the mouse is a major setback
- No DVI cable connection is a downside, although most video devices do accept VGA cable connections.
Build and Design
The 15.6 inch laptop has a sleek design as the screen of the laptop, when laying flat, does have the slightly curved top, similar to other seashell cases designed by the Acer company. Once you open up the hood, it is all business though, as the keyboard features a slick, solid black design with an off center touch pad. A few system control buttons rest at the top of the keyboard, giving you the power to adjust the brightness of the monitor, but most other hardware connections and ports are located on the side of the system. The Acer Aspier laptop runs Windows 7 and is capable of upgrading, once the next generation operating system is released. It also has a dual core processor, giving you the necessary processing speed to use more programs and games, although the lack of a designated, high-end video gaming card prevents you from playing the latest, HD games.

Performance
The Acer Aspire is a power laptop computer with exceptional performance, although it is not designed for next generation video gaming or video editing. Outside of this, it is an excellent option for using the Internet, taking on the road and running external hardware.
Battery
The battery life is frankly, bad. It’s not great at four and a half hours. In fact, that isn’t really all that great. If you’re flying from New York to Los Angeles, your laptop is going to die during the flight. That’s not really very good, especially if you have work you must accomplish during the duration of the flight. The only good feature of this is you can bring an extra battery for when this occurs (of course if your flying from LA to Tokyo, you need 3 extra batteries).
Heat
Heat isn’t much of an issue with the Acer AS5750-6636 laptop, as it does have ample venting around the hard drive and processor. This means the fan does not need to kick on as often, reducing the amount of noise produced. Of course, with the inclusion of the fan, the temperature is kept at a minimum.
This is for who and Why should you buy?
The Acer AS5750-6636 15.6-Inch Laptop (Mesh Black) is primarily designed for individuals who want a powerful computer that doesn’t require a large amount of wires. It isn’t best for traveling or gamers, but for a dorm room and college students, it is exceptional. The Acer laptop is a powerful tool for anyone looking for the latest Windows computer system. It is well worth the price of admission.
